Your Sexual Sins Affect Your Relationships With Others

Can I be real for a moment.

It’s been 346 days since my daughter has seen her father.

And as I sit here and rock her again through her heartache and a river of tears. I can’t sit silent any longer. I have to be a voice for those who don’t have one. For those ashamed of the situations they find themselves in. For those who take a blind eye to their choices. Hear me loud and clear..

Your sexual sins affect your relationships with others.

Before you entertain that compliment from a stranger.
Before you open that messenger from your lost highschool sweetheart on facebook.
Before you react to a flirtatious comment from a coworker.
Before you decide to view pornography.
Before you go out for ‘just’ a drink with a friend of the opposite sex.

You need to be reminded that sin always takes you farther than you want to go, keeps you longer than you want to stay, and costs you more than you are willing to pay.

Plain and simple. It. Is. Not. Worth. It.

We as a society have got to do better and stop accepting anything short of the truth.
We must protect our hearts. Our bodies. Our temple.
It is our duty to protect our greatest treasures, our most intimate relationship, that with our spouse and the bond with our innocent children.

Three in five American children will live with a single parent by age 18. The pain of divorce is more difficult for a child than the death of a parent

I’ve heard it said like this, satan’s plan is for men to become boys, for women to become men, and for children to be irrelevant. 30% to 60% of all married individuals will engage in infidelity at some point during their marriage, and let me be the first to say Christians you are not immune to Satan’s plan.

Sexual sin makes us slaves to our passions rather than reason. Stop believing the deceptions.

The grass is not greener on the other side.
You did not marry the wrong person.
You will not be ‘happier’
It is not just viewing images of beautiful people.
It is more than just a conversation with another person.
It will hurt your spouse.
It will devastate your children.
It will affect your relationship with Christ.

We are in the middle of a Battleground. Protect. Fight. Stand. Cherish.

‘Do not set foot on the path of the wicked, or walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it, do not travel on it, turn from it and go on your way.’ Proverbs 4:14-15
